ZGR-1 Nikon GPS unit and timer remote control is a accessory for iOS device (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad) and Nikon DSLR camera that send GPS data (latitude, longitude, altitude, and UTC Time) from iOS device to camera with photographs, and with a built in interval timer, it will help you control your exposures.


There are two type of accessory, ZGR-1a and ZGR-1b.
ZGR-1a, This accessory has a round connector with 10 pins.
ZGR-1b, This accessory has a square socket with two rows of connectors in it.

ZGR-1a Supported cameras with full function:
Nikon D4, D3, D2XS, D2X, D2HS, D800, D800E, D700, D300, D200*

How to use.
Connecting the ZGR-1
1.Turn the camera off
2.Aligning the mark on the connector with the mark on the camera body, insert the ten-pin connector into the camera’s ten-pin remote terminal and tighten the locking nut.
3.Insert the 30-pin connector into the iOS device’s 30-pin terminal, wait control app starting.
4.If in your iOS device the ZGR-1 app wasn’t installed, the iOS will popup a message to help you install it. Click YES to install the ZGR-1 App.
5.When the ZGR-1 app was installed, you can launch it to control camera via ZGR-1 Accessory.


Recording GPS Data
1.Please allow the app use your current location information.
2.When the app screen show green GPS icon, the GPS data (latitude, longitude, altitude, and UTC Time) was sent from iOS device to camera.
3.A GPS icon will be displayed in the control panel on top of the camera.
4.To view GPS data, select GPS>Position in the camera setup menu (this option is not available with D2X, D2XS, D2HS, and D200 cameras). The current latitude, longitude, altitude, and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) will be displayed.
5.Take pictures. GPS data will be recorded with each photograph.
6.To view the GPS data recorded with each photograph, press the button and display the photographs full frame. The photo info display will contain a page listing GPS data for the current photograph.


Timer Remote Control
This multi-function remote cord provides an automatic timer function. You can choose the exposure time, interval, and number of shots. It also has a manual release. Take photographs manually using the shutter-release button on the remote cord. Photographs can be taken manually even when the timer is running.

1.Adjust the camera setting
Exposure Mode:M(manual)
Shuuter Speed:BULB
Interval Timer:OFF
Focus Mode:Auto Focus or Manual
Continuous:S(single frame)
2.Set TIMER. Press the timer panel, scroll time value to set exposure time, the number of shorts and interval.
3.The timer can be set anywhere from 1 second to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds. The buttons can be operated with a single thumb. The LCD panel can also be illuminated. The remote has a stylish and ergonomic design, making it a pleasure to use. It has a super large LCD screen. The shutter release button on the remote is a three position, the under position will cause the camera to focus, and middle position will trigger the cameras shutter, the top position will hold the cameras shutter.
